If you didn’t know this about me, I love to dance. Some of my kids take after me in their love for dancing.
On Saturdays that we are home, we like to make breakfast as a family. We power up our ION Party Time Wireless Speaker System with Built-in Light Show, cut on the disco lights, and play some great tunes off of YouTube.
*Just as a disclaimer, these are songs we approve, but you may not approve them. Go with your gut.
We listen to a lot of Christian music with our kids, but there are some YouTubers that we have really grown to love.
Our Party Time Wireless Speaker
Before I share those bands that we listen to, I wanted to talk about the ION Party Time Wireless Speaker System with Built-in Light Show for a minute. A friend of mine bought this for us at Christmas. I love the lights that it throws up on the ceiling.
Here’s a little bit of feedback about this speaker. The lights shine up and out, so if it is ground level, it can shine you straight in the eyes. We put it on our refrigerator so that it is high enough it doesn’t hurt anyone.
We’ve had it for about 6 months now, and the connectivity kinda sucks. In the last few weeks, we have had to set our phone right next to the speaker in order for it to have a good connection. Otherwise, the music skips a lot.
Recently, we have paired our Acer Chromebook to it and it is doing much better. Not real sure how long it will last, but it is doing better than our phones. (Btw, we loved this computer so much that we recently purchased another one for our kids. I am able to do all of my blog and freelance writing work on it, and it is only $180-$200. Total win for us).
I really like how the Party Time speaker sounds. It has a great sound quality and I think it fills the air pretty well. We have a very open floor plan, and it does a great job of projecting the sound into the whole house.
Of course, I do love these awesome lights, and I’ll turn them on while I’m listening to music on my phone.
These are some of the songs that we like to play with our kids. Definitely, all adult-worthy songs to rock to.
The Holderness Family
Oh my goodness, if you haven’t been introduced to the Holderness Family then you are in for a real treat. They are known for their Christmas Jammies song.
Not only do they do music parodies, but they also do a lot of YouTube challenges. They are super fun!
Here’s one of their latest songs, and I just love it. I laughed the whole way through it.
Walk Off The Earth
These guys basically rock. I will be honest, I didn’t like them all that much when Austin first introduced them to our music repertoire. Their covers are outstanding, but their original music took some time for me to fall in love with.
What I like the most about them is their originality with the videos and how they use instruments.
Boomerang is my kids’ favorite.
Check out this incredible video of them all playing one guitar for the cover of Somebody That I Used to Know.
Don’t they rock?
Andrew Huang
We’ve listened to Andrew Huang a lot over the years. He makes some really funny songs as well as creates some really great soundtracks.
This is a silly playlist that you can listen to.
We all crack up to his silly songs, but he has many really great songs. And yes, we do sing Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing and Rainbows, and Gravy and Toast all the time.
Julian Smith
Julian Smith does a lot of funny videos. He does more than just music. My kids love their sketches.
Here is one of their songs that cracks me up so much. We drink our coffee both ways around here.
Disney Chickz
We only listen to this one song by the Disney Chickz, which is in response to the Disney Dudez video that we watch. There is a lot of storyline intro to this song, so I suggest go ahead and skip to 1:28 if you actually want to hear the song.
Disney Dudez
This is the only video that we watch from Todrick Hall and the Disney Dudez. Again, it has a bit story in front of the music, so just skip ahead to 0:40.

They have a really fun sound and sing the Disney songs you love.
Tim Hawkins
Did you know that Tim Hawkins does a lot of music, not just comedy. Of course, it is all parodies for the most part. His CFA song is one of my favorites.
Don’t forget to check out his homeschool family song, if you homeschool your kids. It’s hilarious.
These are some of the songs we listen to with our kids. Austin and I have fun dancing around and laughing to them.
