Just Because You Can Do It Alone Doesn’t Mean You Should

I’m a strong, independent woman. I find it hard to rely on others, or let even the closest people in my life help me. In the last year, I have really clung to this motto, “I can do it alone, I just don’t want to”.

This has been an area where I’m really growing. It started with reaching out to family and friends. Now, I’m going beyond that and admitting that there are some areas of my life where I really need help. These are not necessarily areas that my family and friends have experience with.

Enter the internet. Over the last 4 years, I’ve been working online anywhere there is a wi-fi connection. The amount of knowledge that I have gained from people sharing their advice on how to do things has made what I do possible.

I’ve become a firm believer in finding people that have figured out how to do what I want in life, and follow them. This has meant a few things-

I have had to admit I need help.

I’m not wonder mom, super wife, or captain entrepreneur. All of these areas of my life could certainly use some improvement. I rely on people that are ahead of me in the journey.

I have chosen to spend money.

If you don’t know about me, I’m a tightwad. It has been said that I squeak when I walk. That trend has certainly changed in the past few years. I’ve finally wrapped my head around making investments.

This has meant I’ve bought coaching programs and courses, paid to attend events, and picked up books.

I have swallowed my pride.

I’ve got the tendency to pride myself in my ability to DIY everything. Doing things yourself is not the problem. The problem is tackling a project you don’t know how to do and beating your head against the wall to make it work.

There are so many people out there that have been successful in the areas of life I am struggling. This year, I have embraced investing in my own education- and I’m not talking about degrees. I’m talking about basic, everyday things that need to get done.

I can’t describe the number of google searches I’ve run to help me cook things within my new diet. I don’t have to throw ingredients in a pot and hope it works. There are recipes that someone else has already tried for me. All I have to do is put it together and see if I like it.

Are you like me? Feeling overwhelmed in an area of your life, but too stubborn to reach out for help? Or maybe, you know you need help, but don’t have a clue where to get it? I want to share with you a resource that may help you.

If you haven’t heard of the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle before, I encourage you to check it out. There are ebooks, ecourses, webcasts, and printables for every area of life. This includes marriage, finances, motherhood, intentional living, cleaning, work-life balance, recipes, parentings, and so much more.

There are over 100 resources in this bundle for $29.97. It really is a fabulous deal if there are enough resources you would use. Tomorrow, I will tell you about my top picks from this bundle. I am so excited about what some of my blogging friends submitted. I’ve been wanting to get a few of these things for a while.

Check them out through the link below.

This may not be the right thing for you. If it is not, I encourage you to really seek out someone that is crushing it in an area that you are struggling in. Don’t be afraid to invest in yourself. Don’t be scared to spend a little bit of money on something if you think it will help you solve a problem.

Hope you have a great night and I’ll be chatting with you more. If you have any questions, always feel free to hit reply on this email and let me know.
