I’ve come a long way since I first started writing in November of 2013. It is incredible to me how many projects I’ve completed and the confidence I’ve gained. In fact, I recently took on a project where I put the entire website together. I did have to cry “uncle” at one point and ask a friend to help me put the finishing touches up. Thank goodness I have tech friends in my life.
Running a Website Has Been Easier Than I Thought
It is surprising to me how easy it has been for me to run my own website. I know there is a lot that goes into the technical end of things. I will tell you though, that a key factor in the success of a website is the content. If there isn’t anything good on the page, then google will not pick it up for organic searches.
Social Media Marketing Strategies Are Working
I’ve put into place several social media marketing strategies that seem to be working. I have a facebook, twitter, pinterest, and google+ page. Some of the other outlets I work with is Bored Panda, blogger, tumblr, and a few websites I freelance write for.
With all of these outlets, I’ve seen a lot of growth on my website: Love Hope Adventure. This blog is my baby, my passion, my heartbeat…pretty much the reason I’ve stuck with freelance writing.
My Future Goals as a Writer
We all have goals and hopes for our future. My goal as a writer is to narrow down the number of websites I write for. I am looking for a select few that will be a great creative outlet for me.
In the time being, I’m happy just writing for whoever needs the help. It has been a wonderful learning experience and I look forward to what 2015 does for me.
